(HDD) is a construction technique whereby a tunnel is drilled under a waterway or other designated area, and a pipeline or other utility is pulled through the drilled underground tunnel.
HDD is a useful construction technique that involves installing pipelines witho ut digging a trench from the ground surface, which reduces impact to the natural environment. In Arabian trenchless company insure enough preparation and study during the design which is important part in HDD world

The HDD Process
-
PILOT HOLE Drilling the pilot hole is the first stage
-
REAMING AND SWABBING The hole -o pening (reaming) process typically begins after the pilot hole is complete and the path is accepted by the owner to meet the project requirements
-
PULLBACK The last step in a successful installation is pulling the pipeline int o the enlarged hole (pullback operations). D ependent on pipe weight, the HDD contractor may consider using a technique known as buoyancy control. By pumping a fluid (typically water) into the pipeline during pullback, contractors can reduce the positive buo yancy and reduce installation forces —essentially weighing down the pipe to prevent it from floating in the borehole.
ParaTrack-2
Advanced Underground Tracking System by Arabian Trenchless Company
ParaTrack-2, distributed and supported by Arabian Trenchless Company, is a next-generation underground tracking and guidance system designed for precise control and navigation during Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) operations.
With its advanced capabilities and flexible configuration options, ParaTrack-2 delivers unmatched accuracy and reliability across complex drilling environments.
The ParaTrack Advantage
-
Flexible Configuration:
Can be deployed as a single cable from entry to exit, providing fast and simple setup.
-
Multi-Source Compatibility:
Utilizes a variety of magnetic sources, including:
- Rotating Magnetic Sub
- Single Centerline Cable
- MGT Source
- AC Beacon
-
Pressure Monitoring:
Measures both annulus and internal pipe pressure in real-time for enhanced operational safety.
-
High Accuracy in Challenging Conditions:
Proven performance in magnetic environments where other systems fail.
-
Parallel Crossings:
Effectively guides multiple parallel bores with critical center-to-center spacing.
-
Intersects with Precision:
Accurately guides underground intersects from both entry and exit sides.
-
Optimized Setup:
In certain applications, the centerline cable can be earthed on both sides—eliminating the need for a return path and reducing setup time.
In certain applications, the centreline cable can be earthed on both sides of the crossing—eliminating the need for a return path and significantly reducing setup time.
ParaTrack can also be deployed underground using an offset borehole, creating a stable magnetic field for precise guidance. Each subsequent pilot bore can use this same base alignment, allowing multiple parallel bores to be drilled with exceptional confidence and accuracy.
Arabian Trenchless utilizes a range of magnetic guidance options—surface or underground guide wires, AC Beacon, Rotating Magnet tool, and MGT tool—to tailor solutions for every unique project challenge.
Proven HDD Expertise

ParaTrack-2, using either DC or AC secondary locating systems, has been a trusted HDD guidance solution for over two decades. At Arabian Trenchless Company, we’ve enhanced its capabilities with our in-house expertise and integration of Pressure While Drilling (PWD) systems. These measure not only annular pressure but also internal tool pressure for real-time feedback and better steering control.
By incorporating non-wired magnetic sources, our systems ensure more accurate bore intersections and enable safe, efficient operations under challenging subsurface conditions. Measuring pilot-hole annulus pressure gives drillers superior control of downhole conditions—helping to minimize formation fractures and environmental impact.
Confidence in Every Crossing
With ParaTrack-2, Arabian Trenchless Company empowers HDD operators to plan and execute the most complex and demanding drilled crossings with confidence, precision, and safety.
Advanced Downhole Navigation by Arabian Trenchless Company
The ParaTrack-2 Guidance System, supplied and supported by Arabian Trenchless Company, features precision-engineered triaxial accelerometers and magnetometers, a temperature sensor, and advanced digital circuitry — all securely enclosed within a 1.75” diameter, 55” long beryllium-copper pressure barrel.
The system ensures highly accurate data transmission and dependable performance through a single-conductor wire line for telemetry and power delivery.
